As it turns out, this whole cardio debate really is a hot mess. There’s almost as much confusion about what ‘cardio’ actually is as there is about how much it helps. If you want to lose fat, cardio is definitely not a bad thing. But if you want to lose some weight, it might help. But if you want to keep it off then cardio might do better.

One of the problems with cardio is that it can be quite hard to keep it under control if you are not in a good shape. And if you are in good shape, theres not that much cardio to do. It’s easier to burn fats than muscle, which can be pretty tough when it comes to long cardio sessions. So it makes sense that cardio would be the better choice for someone who wants to tone muscles quickly.
