The most important tip is to get your blood pressure checked regularly. It’s surprisingly easy to be on the high side while sitting at a computer. When your blood pressure is higher, your body is producing more catecholamines, which can get out of control. This can cause many different symptoms, but the one I know you’re most likely to get is heart disease.
I’m not saying you should have your blood pressure checked every time you go to the doctor. I’m simply saying that you should take it easy on the stress and drink water with your meal. I don’t know when my doctor used to tell me this, but I think it was when I got my blood pressure checked (I think my doctor was on vacation at the time).
I do have a friend who took medication for high blood pressure. I’ve never heard of catecholamines taking a toll on the heart, but I can tell you that the thought of a doctor going in to check on me is not a good one.

They are released into the blood stream during times of stress and are thought to raise our heart rate and increase the force of contraction of the heart muscle. Since the heart is the body’s primary method of delivering oxygen, it is not surprising that catecholamines are linked to increased death rates.
So, if I were to take the plunge into a doctor, you would be amazed at the amount of advice I’m going to get. But as it turns out, I’m not really that interested. I’ve already got all the information I need from the internet about what to expect from a doctor. I just don’t think I’m going to be there long enough to really benefit from it.
